Every clue brings him closer to the truth—and further from the man he swore to be.

A beloved father is dead and the police have written it off as a natural death.

The family refuses to accept it and begs Ammar to investigate. The problem is, nearly every clue points to suicide.

Since opening Ghazi Ammar’s Agency of Investigation and Implementation, he’s done nothing but chase after errant husbands for chinks of coin. This investigation could be Ammar’s big break.

With his family breathing down his neck, demanding he return to goat herding, and his partner Zaytuna keeping the office afloat and making his life miserable, Ammar is determined to make something out of this investigation.

But when he uncovers secrets that some wish had remain buried, he finds himself trapped by compromises and even some justice out of reach.
